BillionGraves project If you're not familiar, this is where you go to a cemetery and take photos of gravestones then upload them via a smartphone app to a website. Then you (and anyone in the world) transcribes the grave info into a searchable database.  Good for all ages and abilities (can just transcribe at a computer, or go out to graves where kids can clean off leaves, etc from stones).

Historic Occoneechee Speedway: Clearing a large area in the middle of the race track at the Historic Occoneechee Speedway. Occoneechee Speedway was one of the first two NASCAR tracks to open and is the only track remaining from the inaugural 1949 season. The site is now heavily forested in 40 year old pines and sycamores. Visible still are the grandstands which once held thousands of enthusiastic fans and the mile–long oval track where such legends as Fireball Roberts, Richard Petty, Ned Jarrett, Louise Smith and Junior Johnson once spent their Sundays competing in the "Strictly Stock" and Grand National series. Location: Elizabeth Brady, 0.3 N of US 70 Business. We are looking to see if we can get a wood chipper to help with the clean up. 30 people
Family History Help: Help with in-house historical group at Ary Mount and Occoneechee Speedway with any family history information that they are having a hard time with.
